Pawpaw - Prairie Banana
The paw-paw, also called the prairie banana, Hoosier banana or poor man's banana, grows in the southeastern region of the United States. They are popular locally but are not widely available commercially. When ripe the paw-paw is actually more fragrant then a familiar yellow bananas when it is ripe.
