Revenue sharing at Freerangestock.com:
Photographers submitting photos to Freerange Stock can now participate in our expanded revenue sharing system. This is implemented through Google AdSense, and will allow you to keep 100% of the AdSense advertising revenue from your photo download pages and your profile pages. Also, your ad code will appear on all other pages of the site, with the number of sitewide impressions dictated by the number of approved photos you have on the site. Currently, 50% of ad impressions across the entire site are given over to photographer revenue sharing.
In order to participate, you must have full AdSense account and not a hosted AdSense account. (If you created your AdSense account through YouTube or Blogger, you almost certainly have a hosted account.) Hosted AdSense accounts can't be used on other sites like Freerange. This is a restriction from Google - ads will not appear if you have a hosted AdSense account and you try to use it on our site. If you have a full AdSense account, all you have to do is enter your AdSense publisher ID when you are logged in to your contributor admin area. The day after your code is entered, ads with your ID will begin to appear.
What is AdSense?
AdSense is Google's system for serving text and image ads to content pages or participating websites. Relevant ads appear based on Google analysis of the page - when the ad is clicked, the user is directed to the advertisers site. Complete details about AdSense can be found at Google's main AdSense page.
How could this make me money?
Up to three AdSense ad areas appear on each page - we try not to let advertising content overwhelm your lovely images. When users click on any of the ads on your pages, Google pays the revenue from that click to the user with the publisher ID assigned to that ad. Google also places CPM ads that pay just for displaying. You get paid by Google based on Google's AdSense payout policy. This and other AdSense issues are outlined in the AdSense Help Center.
