Paphiopedilum Appletonianum Orchid Bloom
The image most likely of two flowers of a Paphiopedilum appletonianum orchid, a type of lady slipper orchid found in Indochina. This orchid s bloom have distinct pinkish-purple petals and a brownish, pouch-like lower lip. It is a perennial plant that likes damp, tropical environments. These Paphiopedilum appletonianum orchid flowers were photographed inside the Orchid House at Duke Farms in Hillsborough Township, New Jersey.
