In Manhattan, “meet me at the clock” needs no further explanation - it means the four-sided clock atop the information booth in the main concourse at Grand Central Terminal.

The clock faces are 24 inches in diameter and covered with opal glass. The acorn at the top is a reference to the Vanderbilt family - Cornelius Vanderbilt owned the New York Central Railroad, which later built Grand Central Terminal. The acorn symbolizes the motto of the Vanderbilt family - “from a little acorn a mighty oak shall grow.”

In the background is one of the many large, ornate chandeliers that illuminate Grand Central.
