The corpse flower or Amorphophallus titanum in a rare bloom in Loxahatchee Florida. This was planted in 2006. Once it opens the smell is like that of a corpse. That's where it gets its name. The bloom last a few hours than eventually in collapses within days.

Suweg flowers are commonly known in the community as rafflesia flowers. Suweg has another term called Armophophallus konjac or suweg, which is a plant originating from Asia and has long been used as a food ingredient and traditional medicine in China, Japan and surrounding areas. The most commonly used part of the suweg plant is the tuber which can reach 5 kilo grams per tuber. This flower is often called the local Indonesian corpse flower.
