High Point Monument From Beach At Lake Marcia
High Point Monument sits atop the highest point in New Jersey at High Point State Park on the Kittitinny mountain range, offering panarama views of the surrounding valley. The land surrounding the monument was a gift to New Jersey from Colonel Anthony R. and Susie Dryden Kuser. The monument was built funded by the Kusers to honor war veterans and was dedicated in 1930. The landscape around the monument was designed by landscape architects, the Olmsted Brothers, sons of Frederick Law Omsted, designer of Central Park in New York City.
