Black Canyon of the Gunnison the River and the Cliffs
This is a view of the Gunnison River as it flows at the bottom of the canyon. The Black Canyon of the Gunnison has extremely steep cliff walls and some of the oldest rock in North America. These canyon views, including this one, are easily accessible from the lookouts along the South Rim Road. This National Park is just north off US route 50 between the Curecanti National Recreation Area and Montrose, Colorado.
