A good friend of mine, Mandi Ainsworth, introduced me to Alexis Boots. Mandi works primarily with beads; something that requires great attention to detail and a flourishing creativity. Mandi is incredibly ambitious and has recently gone full-time with her bead business, Bead Circle, and has lofty goals. I have every confidence she’ll accomplish them!

Mandi doesn’t restrict herself to beading, though, she also dallies here and there in the craft of book-making. For those who haven’t done it: it’s a tedious task that requires a lot of patience.

I’m lucky to be a friend of the lovely lady behind the swank galas and sensual art: Miss Alexis Boots. She’s a driven and perceptive individual who sets the bar high for herself and accomplishes great things. I have no doubt that her new event planning company, Red Kru Productions will do at least as well as the art galas she hosts.

She’s kind enough to host my art at her galas, so the least I can do is feature her first!

I’ve been working hard on new pieces to show at Premiere 23 later this month. Here are a couple of sneak peeks:

The earliest these little pretties will be available for sale is September 23 at Premiere 23. After that I’ll make them available to the public at large.

I’m also working on some larger paintings on cedar panels. I’m pretty excited about those.

I think once this show is done I’ll start looking for options to show in galleries; groups shows at first, I think. Any tips on going about it gracefully?
